We’ll break down the instructional routines, examine the research behind the design, and discuss how the block supports all learners through its intentional practices. We'll explore how interactive read-alouds and rich text-based conversations cultivate both a love of reading and deeper comprehension. The session will also dive into Bookworms’ unique approach to genre-based writing and grammar, which moves beyond traditional methods by emphasizing modeling, purpose-driven writing, and authentic language development through sentence composing.
